La Venta.

It belongs to the El Ocote reserve and is located 45 minutes north of Tuxtla. This canyon is also known as "The Sacred One" because vestiges of ancient civilizations have been found on its walls. It is approximately 80 kilometers long, and the river of the same name—one of the main tributaries of the Grijalva—runs through it. La Venta is roughly 400 meters deep, and there you will find some caves that served a funerary purpose among the region's ancient inhabitants.
